Bob’s Steak and Chop House From the Southwest to the East

Yes, another steakhouse – but a very good one.

Bob’s Steak and Chop House is the low-key name for this twelve restaurant chain with most of its locations in Texas. Bob’s started with humble beginnings, opening its first restaurant in Dallas in 1993. Since then, the franchise has spread like wildfire, and has expanded across the United States.

Prime locations include San Francisco, Nashville, Tucson, and Carlsbad, and numerous restaurants in Texas.

In New York, Bob’s just opened in the Omni Berkshire Place at 52nd and Madison. It’s a handsome place with lots of dark wood, huge drinks and first-rate food, across the board.

The décor at Bob’s is certainly noteworthy, and the steakhouse has collected numerous prestigious awards for their cooking and dining experience. They received the Open Table – Diners’ Choice Winner in the years 2015, 2016, and 2017.

Each table offers a plump jar of pickles and there’s a slice-it-yourself loaf of crusty bread. But the specialty is prime meats and there’s a fine on offer -ribeye, fillet, strip and porterhouse and more– all perfectly cooked. There are seafood selections too – with everything accompanied by a huge glazed carrot. And don’t miss the massive brownie sundae for dessert. Bob’s Steak and Chop House.

Get there hungry.
