First cultivated in China, peaches are often the forgotten power fruit. Rich in phytochemicals that act as antioxidants, peaches have the ability to fight obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Also rich in vitamin A and C, peaches keep your skin healthy and reduce hair loss.
Add peaches to your diet by tossing them on the grill. Grilling your peaches releases the sugars, helping caramelize it so it becomes even more naturally sweet.
To make, halve and de-pit your peaches. Brush the halves with some melted butter and cook on medium-low so they don’t burn. When nicely charred and soft, serve alone as a side or on top of a salad. This is also great with ice cream as a dessert.
