Flavored peanuts, made through science!

Science and snack foods may seem like an odd couple, but are a match made in heaven. Pizootz Peanuts have combined the technical know-how of NASA with good old-fashioned agriculture to create a unique snack in nine flavors.

Using peanuts farmed in Virginia, the nuts undergo a week-long process of de-shelling, bathing and drying before being boiled in a carefully crafted marinade. All marinades are made from 100% natural ingredients that scientists manipulate them to taste like no other peanut on the market.

After an additional 24 hours of slow cooking, the nuts are packed in bags made from recycled material and shipped off to be enjoyed in flavors like Blazing Buffalo, New York Dill, Baja Taco, and Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper. Whatever your tastes may be, try Pizootz, a nut for all mankind.

If you’re looking for other ways to enjoy Pizootz besides snacking on them, try incorporating them in tonight’s dinner.

Make Thai chicken and noodles with chopped peanuts on top for added crunch. To highlight the spiciness of the chicken, I suggest pairing the dish with the Sea Salt and Cracked Pepper flavor.

For a lighter and summer-friendly Thai option, make a Thai cucumber salad with peanuts. If healthy eating is your goal, blend peanuts in a food processor to make a peanut butter acai bowl.

Smoky Peanut Chicken Tacos:

Another dinner option is Smoky Peanut Chicken Tacos. To make, purée 3 cups Habanero or Baja Taco flavored Pizootz Peanuts using a food processor. Add ¼ cup of water, 2 cloves garlic, 3 tablespoons adobo sauce, (I like the bottle from Chef Merito. At $37, it’s pricy, but worth every penny) and ½ teaspoon salt, and blend until smooth. Pour mixture into a 2-quart baking dish, and add 1 pound of boneless skinless chicken breasts. Cover with foil and bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool, then slice the chicken and drizzle with lime juice.

Serve with tortillas, cilantro, and red cabagge. For an extra peanut element, sprinkle on Pizootz Peanuts for added flavor!  Done, dinner in a snap with delicious Pizootz Peanuts.
