Gaelic Punch. I’m Anthony Dias Blue with the Blue Lifestyle Minute sponsored by CUISINART. Another cocktail to keep you warm on cold winter nights, Gaelic Punch requires no runes or stone-circles to make right. Just muddle the zest of three lemons in a heatproof bowl with six tablespoons of raw sugar. Let those two sit for a couple hours before muddling them again, and then adding four ounces of boiling water. Stir until the sugar dissolves. Strain the liquid into another heatproof bowl and stir in half a seven-hundred fifty milliliter bottle of a young Irish Whiskey, along with another sixteen ounces of boiling water. Garnish with a pinch of nutmeg and lemon slices studded with cloves. Serves up to seven. This recipe was provided by Food and Wine.
