Green beer, all natural. I’m Anthony Dias Blue with the Blue Lifestyle Minute sponsored by CUISINART. As St. Patrick’s day gets closer, so does that ominous liquid of nefarious origins: green beer. How people get their beer to turn bright green each year is down to some alchemical processes better not asked about. If you’re looking for all-natural options, however, wheatgrass juice works well and only requires a few drops to turn any glass bright green. You could also use matcha powder or spirulina, as long as you are ok with a little grit in your brew. But really, if you are deciding between matcha or spirulina, perhaps it’s best to forgo the green beer, leaving it to college students and those who wish they still were in college.
